Kamala Harris can’t win a national election. She is entirely the creation of the radicalism that pervades California politics. Outside of that Left-wing dystopia, Harris simply cannot win on her own. Remember her ill-fated presidential bid in 2020? Yeah, even Pete Buttigieg, formerly the mayor of tiny South Bend, Ind., outlasted Harris in the Democratic Party Presidential Primary in 2020. 

In fact, Kamala Harris chose to drop out before the California Democratic Party Primary took place because she correctly feared that she might not even have won her own state.

Despite her awful showing as a presidential candidate, it was assumed (at least amongst the Democratic Party’s intelligentsia) that she was the future of the party. Whatever failings she had as a candidate, Harris’ resume spoke for itself. And with people like the Obamas as well as powerful Civil Rights leaders demanding that Joe Biden place a female of color on his ticket, it seemed like an obvious choice to place her as Biden’s number two. 

Most probably thought that, as Biden’s vice-president, she’d build up a legacy of executive leadership that she had otherwise lacked so that when it was her time to run for president again, Harris would be ready.

Kamala Harris Doesn't Get Better Over Time

Three years into the Biden Administration and Vice-President Harris is a blight on the ticket. 

That’s saying something, because President Joe Biden is a highly unpopular president who is seen as too old and a poor leader of the US economy by most Americans. 

Nevertheless, his number two does little to boost Biden’s reelection chances. In fact, given how unpopular Kamala Harris is, she might do more harm than good for the ticket.

The only time that Harris seems to resonate at all with voters is when she is speaking about women’s issues, African-American rights, or some other civil rights matter. Any other topic, though, Harris falls flat. 

If another George Floyd-type crisis in race relations occurs between now and the election, Harris likely becomes a positive for Biden. Failing some racial crisis to galvanize people and allow for Kamala Harris to shine, though, she brings little to the table. 

This is a profound problem for the Biden Campaign and the Democratic Party, as the party is beset by crises. 

Many experts argue that Kamala Harris’ entire purpose for being on the ticket was to secure the black vote. But a Cornel West challenge, while unlikely to get anywhere near victory in 2024, could cleave enough African-American votes away from Biden that it allows for the Republican candidate to win by default. 

And if the GOP candidate is former President Trump, given his unusual appeal among many black voters, the combination of Cornel West’s presence as a third-party candidate coupled with Trump’s historic appeal to black voters could spell doom for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Replace Kamala Harris?

There’s been much talk about replacing Joe Biden as the DNC presidential candidate. Certainly, this is a serious suggestion that Democrats, if they want to have a chance at winning in 2024, should probably consider. 

Someone like former First Lady Michelle Obama would be a shoo-in for the presidency under current conditions in the electorate whereas Joe Biden is deeply unpopular. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, appears to be a greater drag on the ticket than she is a benefit. 

That’s a terrible position to be in if you are vice-president seeking to remain on the reelection ticket.

Even if Harris remains on the ticket (there has been no serious discussion yet to remove her, despite her terrible public approval rating and overall failures as vice-president), there is no guarantee that Joe Biden will be able to complete a possible second term as president. He’s already an octogenarian. Biden is well beyond the average lifespan of American men. 

It is probable that he’d have to hand his presidency over to Harris. 

And Harris has proven that she is both unable to win national elections and that she’s awful at governing. If she had to become president, it is unlikely that she’d suddenly change and get better. It is an absolute nightmare for this country if something were to happen to Joe Biden after his reelection and Kamala Harris assumed the presidency. 

This is predominantly because she is so utterly incompetent at her job…and she’s proven an inability to get any better. 

That kind of failure really shouldn’t be rewarded. Harris cannot win a national election, she’s deeply unpopular, and she’s a failed executive. Having her so near to power is an idiotic move for any American voter to be comfortable with. Biden should replace Harris.
